FAA taps Invision Technology for weapons detection; Dynegy is lower on Enron woes; plus more of today's stocks to watch

Novell (NOVL ) posted better than expected $0.02 vs. $0.02 Q4 EPS on a 13% revenue rise. S&P maintains hold.

Invision Technology (INVN ) says the FAA purchased several i-Portal 100 imaging detection systems for concealed weapons for installation at undisclosed locations throughout the country.

UBS Warburg upgraded American Italian Pasta (PLB ) to buy from hold.

Dynegy (DYN ) is seen lower on worries about possible credit rating downgrade, indications from Enron it might fight to keep its natural gas pipeline from Dynegy's hands.

JP Morgan upgraded Knight Trading (NITE to long-term buy from market perform.

Lehman downgraded EOTT Energy (EOT ) to market perform from buy.

Salomon upgraded Toll Brothers (TOL ) to buy from outperform.

Novellus Systems (NVLS ) confirmed the company will meet Q4 revenue and EPS guidance, helped by cost cuts. However, Novellus expects a loss in Q1 2002 and possibly Q2. Robertson Stephens downgraded to market perform. S&P maintains hold.

Energen (EGN ) says its two major subsidiaries have relationships and outstanding contracts with Enron, and estimates that non-performance by Enron could negatively impact Energen's EPS by $0.20-$0.25.

Home Depot (HD ) affirmed its Q4 profit target of $0.28 EPS, but lowered its growth target in 2002.

Inamed (IMDC ) sees better than expected $1.82-$1.95 2002 cash EPS. CIBC World upgraded to strong buy from buy.

Morgan Stanley downgraded Webmethods (WEBM ) to neutral from outperform.

Goldman added AMBAC Financial (ABK ) to recommended list, was rated market outperformer.

Starbucks (SBUX ) posted 1% higher November same store sales, and 20% higher total sales. WR Hambrecht, Lehman reiterate buy.

S&P reiterates accumulate on AOL Time Warner (AOL ), hold on Amazon (AMZN ), sell on Yahoo! (YHOO ), as the ban on Internet taxes is extended until November 2003.

Press reports say that recent restructuring moves at Merrill Lynch (MER ) are dressing the company up for a possible sale somewhere down the road.
