Europe Stocks Gain on Bargain Hunting

Canada shares rally; Asia markets end sharply higher

Canada's benchmark TSE 300 enjoyed a decent rally, ralling 150 points to 6820. Thursday's bullish reversal and close at the session high argued for a positive start. Strong gains in the U.S. indices were supports. At 6820, the TSE 300 is up over 303 points on the week but this must be compared to the two-week, 832-point plunge. Risk is for paring of gains in the near term, as traders will remain very cautious given given the military uncertainty overhanging the markets.
