"Why Not Accept Russia into NATO?"

For the first time since the end of World War II, former Cold War foes Russia and the U.S. have a common enemy. The Kremlin has long claimed that Osama bin Laden, the prime suspect in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the U.S., funded and trained rebels in Chechnya, the breakaway republic that Russia blames for bombings in Moscow and other Russian cities in 1999.
