Airlines Put on Negative CreditWatch

Standard & Poor's placed the debt of all U.S. airlines on CreditWatch with negative implications following the terrorist attacks

As a result of the recent acts of terrorism in the U.S., Standard & Poor's placed its short-term corporate credit, bank loan, and other securities ratings on all U.S. airlines and related entities on CreditWatch with negative implications on Sept. 13. At the same time, the senior unsecured debt ratings on Air Canada and on British Airways PLC (BA) and its related entity British Airways Finance (Jersey) L.P. were also placed on CreditWatch with negative implications.
