Stocks Finish Nearly Unchanged

Wall Street's flat performance Monday came as positive corporate news was countered by worries about profits and the economy

Stocks mostly squeaked higher on Monday after investors reckoned that last week's punishing selloff had gone too far. There was some select buying of shares of companies that announced positive news amid all the doom and gloom about the shaky U.S. economy and dwindling corporate profits.
