UBS Warburg Ups Estimates on Centillium Communications

Analyst Anton Wahlman says Japan's largest telco is its boosting DSL buildout, which could help the broadband company

UBS Warburg raised estimates on Centillium Communications (CTLM ).

Analyst Anton Wahlman says it is raising the $46 million Q3 revenue estimate to $49 million and raising the $43 million Q4 estimate to $52 million on the belief Japan's NTT is accelerating its central office buildout for Digital Subscriber Lines (DSL) in Japan. For the same periods, he raised the adjusted, partially taxed bottom line estimates from $0.08 EPS to $0.12 EPS, and raised the $0.01 loss to $0.10 EPS. Wahlman believes design activity in non-Japanese DSL is going well, as is the Entripia chip, which he now models to contribute more. He kept the 2002 estimates because subscriber estimates are unchanged, and he rates shares hold with a $15 target.
