Providian Plunges on Higher Credit Losses

Providian (PVN ) shares were lower after the company posted $0.79 vs. $0.64 Q2 EPS on 29% higher managed revenue and noted that its managed net credit loss rate increased to 10.29% in Q2 from 9.34% in Q1. S&P maintains accumulate.
