Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE ) signed a letter of intent to acquire Hondo Inc. and Herbco Enterprises (collectively known as Herb Coca-Cola) in a deal valued at total of about $1.4B.
Macrovision (MVSN ) posted $0.18 vs. $0.13 Q1 EPS (pro forma) on a 42% revenue rise. The company remains comfortable with current Q2 and full-year 2001 estimates.
MEMC Electronic Materials (WFR ) posted a $0.25 Q1 loss on a 14% sales rise. The company expects Q2 revenue to decline more than 15% sequentially. MEMC will cut 7% of its workforce.
Rudolph Technology (RTEC ) posted $0.38 vs. $0.04 Q1 EPS on a 93% revenue rise. The company expects Q2 revenue to be sequentially lower than Q1's $30.6M, with operating margin of 22%-25%.
Emerson Electric (EMR ) posted $0.92 vs. $0.90 Q2 EPS (excluding goodwill) on a 5.4% sales rise. Until the macro scene improves, Emerson sees sales growth moderating, with the EPS dynamic mirroring Q2.
