Table: Remanufacturing Recipe

A product can be remanufactured if...

1.

It's made of standardized, interchangeable parts. Single-use cameras have more lives than a cat.

2.

It's cheaper to take apart and rebuild than to make a new one. Not worth it: A $30 radio.

3.

The technology is stable. Laser printer cartridges are standardized, hence easy to rebuild.
