Robertson Stephens Lifts Celestica Estimates

Analyst J. Keith Dunne says the electronic manufacturer's strong fourth quarter has raised his expectations for a sales rise.

Robertson Stephens raised its estimates on Digex (DIGX ).

Analyst J. Keith Dunne says he is raising his $1.90-$2.00 2001 EPS estimate to $2.05-$2.10, and is raising his 2002 EPS estimate of $2.65 to $2.70-$2.80. Dunne says Celestica's Q4 EPS exceeded his $0.45 estimate. He notes the company's Q4 results have given him greater sales expectations from an abundance of new programs and outsourcing opportunities as OEMs are increasingly realizing the market benefits of this approach. Dunne says Lucent expects to save $2 billion annually by outsourcing. He notes his EPS estimates exclude material future OEM divestitures, which he believes are becoming increasingly available. Dunne rates Celestica's shares a strong buy.
