U.S. Students: No Itch To Become Engineers
You would think U.S. college grads would be stampeding into the nation's engineering and science universities to win a place at the table in the booming tech sector. Not so. Recent data from the National Science Foundation ranks America at 19th in the world--in a tie with Slovakia--in the number of science and engineering grad students among its population of 24-year-olds.
