Plotting The Finest Lines On Computer Chips
Researchers at Northwestern University announced in the Oct. 15 issue of Science that they have invented the world's smallest and most accurate plotter. Their so-called nanoplotter is capable of drawing minuscule lines--each is only about 30 molecules wide--with such precision that only 200 billionths of an inch separates them.
