An Ouster At Ericsson
Almost nothing happens in Sweden in July. Businesses are virtually shut down as executives make the most of the short summer season. That's one reason the resignation on July 7 of Sven-Christer Nilsson as chief executive of the $22 billion telecommunications giant Ericsson was such a stunner. Even senior executives reached on their mobile phones seemed shocked. "It came as a complete surprise to me," said one.
