Europe's Investors Are Acting Up
On the Continent, shareholder activism was once considered an American kind of thing. European fund managers lived in a comfortable, complacent world, where their performance was measured against other managers in the same country. Assets, especially pension fund money, were mostly tied up in a handful of national companies. That quaint world is fast becoming obsolete.
