Herb Kelleher: Southwest's Deeper Northeast Push
After years of eyeing the nation's top air-travel market, Southwest Airlines CEO Herbert Kelleher may finally be ready to take a bite of the Big Apple. The low-fare giant entered the East Coast market in 1993 with service to Baltimore and later Providence and Manchester, N.H. Now it's in talks to start service to Long Island's MacArthur Airport.
