Marram Heads For The Top At Trop
AFTER YEARS OF BUMPING UP AGAINST THE GLASS CEILING, Ellen Marram may finally become CEO of her own company. Barring a surprise acquisition offer, Seagram expects to spin off its $2.1 billion-a-year Tropicana group in an initial public offering in the summer. And company officials now confirm that Marram, who rose to chief executive of the juice unit last July, would keep the CEO's post. Marram, 51, became Trop's president in 1993.
