Bob Iger's star rises as other top brass jump ship

Executives at Walt Disney Co. were scurrying around handling last-minute details for the June 5 premiere of the animated film Mulan at the Hollywood Bowl. But back at Disney's Burbank (Calif.) headquarters, news of the latest executive defections had insiders wondering whether they might start preparing for another show: the coronation of Robert A. Iger, head of Disney's ABC unit and a fast friend of Disney Chairman Michael D. Eisner. Iger's stock--already rising--gets an extra boost as other top execs depart.
