Diller's Ticket To More Riches?

BARRY DILLER'S FLEDGLING media empire continues to expand. On Mar. 10, his USA Networks struck a $386 million deal to buy half of ticketing agency Ticketmaster Group USA, which operates the Home Shopping Network and the recently acquired USA and Sci-Fi Networks, is expected to use Ticketmaster as part of its plan to create a TV network based in part on infomercial-style programs that sell products directly to viewers. Ticketmaster CEO Fred Rosen will leave the venture.
