Gunmakers Won't Get Rich Off Sales To Women

As our children continue to pay the price for the proliferation of guns in this country, it is unseemly for the firearms industry to crow about profits from weapons sales to women. The supporting statistics quoted in the article "What do women want? Guns, actually" (Sports Business, June 2) are attributed to sources that are suspect at best. Research not beholden to the industry finds that the number of women gun owners has leveled off at 7% to 11% during the past 10 years.
