At Steve Kalafer's two Ford dealerships in Flemington, N.J., salesmen don't have to do much arm-twisting to move the metal these days. With Ford killing off slow-selling cars like the Thunderbird, Kalafer's sales staff can concentrate on pitching models, like the Expedition, that the public seems already sold on. "I have not heard one voice of condolence for the loss of the T-bird," says Kalafer. "We have to focus on what we do best."
