Executive Pay: Where Is The Morality?
Two words will suffice to summarize "Executive pay" (Cover Story, Apr. 21): greed and arrogance. The compensation received by many below-average, average, or even outstanding chief executives of U.S. corporations makes no sense to many of our citizens--and they will respond if the system does not self-correct. What will these executives do--move to the Bahamas? To Mexico? Or will they just go into a gated community, far removed from the issues in our society, and circle their German and Japanese wagons?
