Electronic commerce is getting easier. Until now, corporations wanting to send documents to some courts and federal agencies had to convert them into a format called standard generalized markup language (SGML). This has required special editing software or tedious hand-coding. The conversion will be a breeze with an SGML version of WordPerfect coming from Novell Inc. (800 451-5151) in late summer. Then, you can simply prepare documents in regular fashion; the program converts them when you save. The planned list price is $595, or $295 as an upgrade from regular WordPerfect.
