Reinventing The Patent Office
The Administration will soon unveil a plan to turn the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office into a government corporation similar to the Postal Service. Clintonites say the proposal, which requires congressional approval, would cut 5,000 federal jobs, save millions of dollars, and streamline patent operations.
