Shares of disability insurer UNUM (UNM) stumbled in early November--slumping from 46 to 40--when investors found that claims had shot up. And when UNUM took a $10 million charge to boost reserves, the stock fell even more--to 36. Naturally, analysts have cut back their estimates for this year and next.
