Two Tigers Sharpen Up Their Markets
The two most muscular Asian Tigers, South Korea and Taiwan, look primitive when it comes to their financial markets. Korea's are among the most heavily restricted in the world, while Taiwan's is rife with corruption. Now, with the appointment of a new economy czar in Korea and a crackdown on crooked dealing in Taiwan, these two enticing markets are taking important steps toward modernizing themselves.
