Long John Silver At Arby's Table

It's the ultimate surf-and-turf deal. On Sept. 21, Triarc announced plans to acquire Long John Silver's Restaurant for about $525 million. Triarc will merge the fish-and-seafood chain with its Arby's roast-beef-sandwich operation. Triarc says the combined companies will have 4,200 outlets, which will generate more than $2.5 billion in annual sales. The two chains now plan to offer items from each other's menus. Triarc acquired Arby's as part of its purchase of the former DWG, which had been controlled by Miami Beach financier Victor Posner.

Before it's here, it's on the Bloomberg Terminal.
