The Week Ahead: Industrial Production

Output at the nation's factories, mines, and utilities probably rose just 0.1% in May, says the MMS survey. That's indicated by the drop in car output scheduled by auto makers and a fall in factory jobs. Operating rates probably stood at 83.5% in May. In April, industrial production increased a solid 0.3%, and operating rates were at 83.6%.
