It may not have a catchy name, but Corporate America has found a health-care-reform issue to rally around: "national uniformity." Bills emerging in Congress would give states more power to regulate health care, a threat to big corporations that prefer operating under consistent federal rules. Executives from nine trade groups and more than 30 companies will swarm up Capitol Hill on June 23--dubbed "Uniformity Day"--to make a pitch for national standards.
