Investment Figures Of The Week

The bond market continues its wild, wild ways. The euphoria over the Fed's 
      inflation-fighting rate hike died quickly, and bond prices and yields made huge 
      day-to-day changes. The equity crowd was more upbeat. From the Dow industrials 
      down to the Russell 2000, stocks made gains of about 0.6% for the week. One 
      star was IBM, which was up nearly 5% for the week and reached its highest level 
      in 18 months. Overseas, Japanese stocks rallied on prospects for a resumption 
      of trade talks with the U.S.
