Loves Music, Loves To Surf: Romance Comes To Cd Rom

First there was "the personals" in newspapers. Then there was computer- and video-dating. Now, there's multimedia dating. Next month, Romulus Productions Inc. in Indianapolis plans to ship CD-Romance, a CD-ROM with a national database of 300 single men and women. In addition to the routine biographical information one would find in personal ads, the disk contains a mix of video clips, handwritten notes, still pictures, and recorded messages from the participating singles. The goal, says Romulus President Peter Weisz, is to give a better sense of who the people are than is possible with simple biographies and video clips.
