A Slick Way To Salvage Used Oil
Only 8% of the 1.4 billion gallons of used lubricating oil generated in the U.S. each year is re-refined into high-quality base stock. Hoping to raise that proportion, Interline Resources Corp. in Alpine, Utah, has developed a process it says will allow companies to turn a profit on re-refining even in small quantities.
