Investment Figures Of The Week
Look out below! As the first quarter drew to a close, stock-market players couldn't unload fast enough. The pros wanted to raise cash and take what profits they could still salvage. The Dow industrials shrank by more than 240 points, sinking to levels not seen since early November. Even technology stocks, which held up well for most of the last two months, gave ground. The pundits, of course, blamed the bond market, where the long-term Treasury bond climbed above 7%, for stocks' slide.
