Uncle Sam Has Rivals In The Rush To Tax Corporations

State and local taxes are a growing burden on corporations, and many executives believe that they will continue to increase in coming years, according to a recent survey of financial executives conducted by Coopers & Lybrand. Respondents indicated that on average, state and local taxes account for 45% of their overall tax burden, with federal taxes representing 48% and international taxes the remainder.
