For Low Bank Fees You Gotta Shop Around
Choice is an idea given too little attention in your story "Getting soaked by soaring bank fees?" (Personal Businesss, Sept. 20). The financial-services marketplace is crowded with competitors, bank and nonbank.
Bank fees, like the cost of milk, cars, and your magazine, are set by a marketplace where millions of individual consumer choices are made every day. For consumers who look around, the deals will be there.
