A Valve's Life Is About To Get A Lot Easier
Valves open. Valves close. Nothing too complex about that. But a Florida inventor, Robert A. Jaeger, is showing that even the lowly valve can be improved. Opening one to let fluid flow requires a strong force, because the plug has to be pushed upstream into the fluid it's holding back. Jaeger has developed a valve that opens and closes easily, even under intense pressures such as in hydraulic tools.
