A Magical Misery Tour With Nafta's Steel Belt FoesBy
The bus rolls up and down the steep hills of the Monongahela Valley. It's hot outside, thunderstorm weather, and the grey shuttered steel mills we're passing look like postcards from hell. A banner on the side of the bus reads, "Rust Belt Tour." "Magical Misery Tour" would be catchier. Then again, these aren't former flower children putting on this tour. They're retired steelworkers.
