In the two years that I've lived in New York City, I've taken great pains to look as if I belong here. My wardrobe is black, my hair is short and an unnatural color, my sunglasses cheap yet hip. But recently, I decided that in order to get to know my adopted city better, I should don the shorts, tennis shoes, and wide-eyed look of the tourist and take a walking tour.
