Europe's busiest air route by far is Paris-London, with 50 flights a day. But in about a year, that airborne traffic is likely to shrivel. From Paris, travelers will be able to whoosh to the English Channel at 200 mph, glide through a new undersea tunnel, and pull into London in less than three hours. Downtown to downtown, that's as fast as flying, and the train will cost 20% to 30% less. Gloats a French railway official: "We're going to take the entire market."
