What Exactly Did Sandy Weill Build?
You say Sanford I. Weill "would reclaim the brokerage he virtually built from scratch." ("Sandy Weill strikes again," Finance, Mar. 22). Excuse me, but Weill no more built the Shearson firm from scratch than Carl Icahn built TWA or Rupert Murdoch built the London Sunday Times from scratch.
