After all its starts and stalls during the past two years, the U.S. economy gives every sign that, finally, it is getting its act together. That doesn't mean muscular growth at the nearly 4% clip posted in the fourth quarter of last year. But by all recent indications, the economy has now reached the flash point at which the expansion becomes self-sustaining.
