An Anti Microsoft Alliance For At&T

Novell and AT&T appear to have found another way to gird against the growing power of Microsoft. The two announced on Jan. 6 that they will link AT&T's business-phone systems with Novell's computer-networking software. That could allow PC users to automatically dial a call from a computerized phone list and store notes associated with that phone number on the PC network. Last month, Novell agreed to buy AT&T's Unix software business, a move widely interpreted as a defense against Microsoft.
