The Centel Sprint Deal Looks Like A Go

Based on a preliminary count of the special Dec. 2 vote, Centel says its shareholders have approved the Chicago-based phone company's roughly $3 billion merger with Sprint. The yes vote came despite a campaign against the deal by investors who felt the offer of 1.37 Sprint shares for each Centel share was too low. Assuming approval, the deal will be completed early next year.
