Guess Who Can't Afford To Buy American

In the report "Guess who isn't buying American" (Top of the News, Nov. 2), you ignore one significant factor.

If the U.S. companies that are able to compete internationally lived on a buy-American diet--forgoing cheaper and higher-quality foreign goods when available--they would simply put themselves at a competitive disadvantage with their foreign competitors--thus joining the growing list of U.S. companies unable to compete internationally.
