The saga of Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton has borne a striking similarity to one of those zap-bang Terminator movies. As Clinton marched through the Democratic primaries, he absorbed blow after blow over his character, record, and business dealings. After each new hit, holes appeared in the metallic skin that's supposed to shield modern Presidential candidates from harm. But Clinton kept staggering forward, flashing that cyborg smile of his--and promising that at some point, he'd get a second look from voters who had consigned him to a scrap bin marked "slick and useless."
