Gm Puts Its Parts Suppliers On Notice
As part of a massive streamlining effort, General Motors will centralize purchasing operations and push suppliers to reduce their costs. GM's new purchasing chief, J. Ignacio Lopez de Ariortua, recently told 500 suppliers that the carmaker will work with them to boost productivity.
