It was bound to happen: The art world has discovered so-called virtual reality. VR, as it's known in technologically hip circles, is a collection of video and audio setups that creates the illusion of worlds that seem real. In most VR systems, users don video goggles and an electronic glove that senses the position of the hand and fingers. Viewers experience a synthesized three-dimensional space with an image of a hand that enables them to manipulate other imaginary objects.
