For financially troubled LTV Corp., supplying structural parts for the B-2 Stealth bomber was never just another defense order. The contract, under which LTV builds one-third of each $850 million bat-winged plane, is the largest in the order book of the Dallas-based conglomerate's Aircraft Div. And LTV was banking heavily on selling the aircraft unit to gain the wherewithal to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
