Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton may yet do well in New Hampshire, but he's pinning his hopes for the Democratic Presidential nomination on the delegate-rich early Southern primaries. To complement his strategy for the region, he's putting together a Southern team. Clinton has signed up James Carville, the most sought-after Democratic consultant of Campaign '92. The hard-hitting Louisianan gets much of the credit for engineering Democrat Harris Wofford's upset Pennsylvania Senate victory. Clinton is also talking to Jody Powell, press secretary to President Carter, about coming aboard as media guru. Although Clinton remains relatively unknown, some political pros think his well-organized campaign could quickly move him to the head of the pack.
