In his 1957 book The Naked Sun, Isaac Asimov wrote about the Solarians, a futuristic society whose members used viewing equipment to interact, instead of meeting face to face. Now, 34 years later, video teleconferencing is no longer just science fiction. But it's far from the ubiquitous technology that Asimov foresaw. Most of us still do business the old-fashioned way -- in person.
