How Faxed Data Can Go Right Into Your Computer
Fax machines are great for corresponding, but when you're using them to collect business data--branch-office sales figures or payroll time sheets, for example--someone eventually has to copy the information into a computer. Now, Cardiff Software Inc., a Solana Beach (Calif.) startup, has developed a program called Teleform that reads faxes and converts pertinent information into standard data files.
